MatchesTim Seifert’s game draws natural comparisons with Brendon McCullum — a top-order wicketkeeper-batter, compact in stature but explosive in intent and capable of taking apart attacks with his 360-degree range. Since making his T20 debut as a 19-year-old in 2014, Seifert has built a vast portfolio, featuring in over 300 matches across leagues and international cricket. In recent years, he has found a new level of consistency to complement his attacking game. Since 2024 (until the start of TATA IPL 2026), Seifert has averaged 32.51 at a strike rate of 145.41, including three centuries. For New Zealand, he has struck at an impressive 156.9 in this period - further underlining his value as a high-impact opener. Having played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals before, Seifert returns to the IPL with renewed momentum, rejoining KKR as the most experienced wicketkeeper in their squad. With his aggressive approach at the top and improved consistency, he offers the potential to provide flying starts for KKR.
